Fort Collins Utilities has a specific rate structure called Time of Use (TOU) which assigns higher rates for “on peak” times of the day. In summer (from May through September), on peak hours are 2-7pm. In non-summer (from October through April), on peak hours are 5-9pm. That means most of the things we do during that time – crank up the AC (or heat), cook dinner, and watch TV will cost more.
