ELECTRICAL SERVICE PROVIDER

Xcel energy is currently the only service provider in the Front Range that is offering financial incentives and net metering to its customers. If you are not in Xcel territory, you should call your provider to find out if they would be willing to offer net metering so that you could tie to the grid.

If you are an Xcel Energy customer, you are eligible for up to $4.50 per watt in rebate and Renewable Energy Credits (for systems under 10kW in size). This is about half the installed cost of a typical PV system. For systems between 10 and 100kw, you can receive up to $2 per watt plus REC monthly payments (TBD by Xcel) for 20 years.

Please take a look at your last energy bill to confirm your service provider. If you are planning to build a new structure, you can call Xcel at 1.800.895.4999 to find out if the address is in their service territory.
